HCG places great importance on consumer privacy and complies with applicable Taiwan laws governing the protection of personal data, as well as HCG's global corporate guidelines. HCG is committed to acting in accordance with the law and protecting the rights and interests of data subjects. We will not alter or disclose personal information without consent. HCG will exercise due care to maintain the security, integrity and accuracy of personal information and, in accordance with applicable laws, provide mechanisms for data subjects to review, correct or delete their personal information while protecting privacy and transaction security.
This statement explains the principles HCG follows when handling your personal data as you use services provided through the HCG website. This statement may be updated as website functions and services evolve, so please review it periodically.
1. How HCG Collects Your Personal Data
You are not required to provide personal information when browsing product information on HCG-related websites. However, when you use services provided by the HCG website or participate in online activities organized or co-organized by HCG, HCG, related websites or partners may ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, date of birth, gender, address and phone number. HCG may also retain server-generated records from your browsing or searches, including the IP address of your device, access time, browser used, pages viewed and click records. HCG may use browser identifiers to aggregate browsing activity within the website; unless you voluntarily provide identifying information, these records are not used to identify you personally.
In addition to personal information required to operate and manage HCG services, HCG may collect anonymous information for its own use or sharing with service partners. This information cannot be used to identify you personally, but helps us improve service quality. Information generated without your active registration, such as IP address, access time, browser type, browsing history and click records, is analyzed only in aggregate and is not used to profile individual users.
Advertisers appearing on the HCG website and websites linked from HCG may also collect personal information from you. Any personal information you voluntarily provide to these partners or linked websites is governed by their own privacy policies and data practices, which are outside the scope of this HCG Privacy Statement. HCG is not responsible for those third-party practices.
2. How HCG Shares Your Personal Data with Third Parties
HCG and its service partners may use your personal information to operate the website, provide services, and notify you of new features, services and HCG product information. To protect users, HCG carefully selects any information about third-party products or services that may be sent to you, generally when relevant to website services. Such use is secondary and not essential to the core service.
HCG is committed to giving users appropriate control over the information they provide. Unless you consent, or disclosure is required by law or made in good faith to comply with legal obligations, HCG will not arbitrarily provide your personally identifiable information to others. To provide complete purchasing and delivery services, HCG may need to disclose personal information to third parties such as logistics companies or banks. In special circumstances, if you violate HCG's terms of service or harm or interfere with HCG's rights and interests, and HCG reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to identify, contact or take legal action against the relevant person, HCG may disclose user information. HCG may also access or disclose user information where it reasonably believes disclosure is required by law or necessary for administration, maintenance or improvement of products and services. Where judicial authorities lawfully request specific personal information for public safety purposes, HCG may cooperate as required through formal legal procedures while considering user protection.
3. HCG Cookie Policy
A cookie is a set of information that allows a web server to recognize a user's device and retain records. Most websites use cookies to provide useful features. Cookies identify your device, not your personal identity. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can choose to reject them. Browser settings allow you to accept all cookies, receive a notification when cookies are set, or reject all cookies. We recommend enabling cookies when shopping online or using paid services so that transactions can be completed properly.
Cookies are stored in your browser when you access the HCG website.
